As reported in the Utah Economic Outlook, Census Bureau estimations indicate that Utah is leading the country in population growth. While the rest of the nation grew at an average rate of 0.7%, the slowest growth since the 1940’s, from 2012-2013, Utah’s population grew by 1.6%.

Utah’s population is projected to grow by 2.5 million people by 2050 and is currently ranked second in urban sprawl. Lehi and South Jordan, are among the 10 fastest-growing cities in the nation, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
